Rian Boot Bouquet

 Hello,

For the most part I am a Stampin Up gal. I love their coordination of products. But, every once in a while I come across a stamp or die set that I just have to purchase. This is that set…..Rain Boot Bouquet from Spellbinders.

The flowers are just so pretty and who couldn’t love a pair of Wellies?

While the dies are from Spellbinders, all the card stock is from Stampin Up. These dies are so versatile. I can see this card easily having a birthday, missing you or congratulations sentiment. The background embossing is a folder from Tim Holtz called Brickwork.

Thanks for stopping by. Until next time….

Book Fold Easel Card

 Hello,

I've been seeing some Christmas makes on the web lately. While I'm not in a holiday mood right now, I figured I'd give it a whirl.

Today's card is a book fold easel card. A simple fun fold with a big impact. Great for the recipient to display. Thank you to Mary Deatherage for the idea.

To make the card, cut a piece of card stock for the base measuring 11" x 4-1/4" and score on the long side at 5-1/2" and 6-3/4". For the easel part, score on the base as shown below. Burnish all score lines to give a crisp fold.

Glue the section between the two score lines to the base.

For the card front, cut a piece of card stock measuring 4" x 4". Cut a piece of designer series paper measuring 3-7/8" x 3-7/8" and adhere to the card front. Depending on how you wish to decorate the front, you may want to add another layer.

Glue the card front to the base, ensuring the front is only adhered to the bottom part of the diagonal fold.

For the inside of the card, cut a piece of card stock measuring 3-7/8" x 3-7/8" and adhere. To make a "stopper" so the easel card will stay while folded, die cut an image or sentiment piece and adhere.

And there you have it!

Thanks for stopping by. Until next time...

Everything Old is New Again!

 Hello,

Stuck, lost your mojo? When this happens to me, I go through my stash of older stamps, dies and designer series paper. Pair them with some of the newer designs or fun folds and new life is given to those old forgotten stamp sets.

My go to is always floral stamps ( which I have A LOT of 🤭). I made these two cards with older stamp sets.

First, Daffodil Daydream….

Then, Painted Poppies…

Look in your stash to find older stamps to make everything old, new again!

Thanks for stopping by. Until next time….

Zinnias

 Hello,

Hot and muggy here today…again! So I’m playing in my craft room.

This card was made with the Simple Zinnia stamp set and dies. I don’t have any in my garden this year but last year I had a beautiful pink and yellow one.

Daffodil Delight Blends were used to colour the flowers and Old Olive for the leaves.

I’ve also made this card a fun fold. Easily made with a 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 piece of card stock then scored at 2-1/8 and 4-1/4 along the 8-1/2 side. Fold like an accordion and burnish. Add your dsp and embellishments and you have a card.

Thanks for stopping by. Until next time…

Sunset Rose

 Hello,

At one time I had a rose in my garden that had such beautiful yellow, pink and coral colours. I called it a sunset rose. That rose was my inspiration for today’s card.

The Cottage Rose bundle is so pretty. Perfect for any occasion.

I’ll add a sentiment when the occasion arises.

I figured out that florals are my jam. Not appropriate for masculine cards perhaps but fitting for just about anything else.

Thanks for stopping by. Until next time….
