Envelope Card

On this snow day it's all about crafting. 

Today I have a project inspired by a card in the 2014 Annual Catalogue. Inspiration can come from anywhere. Don't forget to check out past catalogues for ideas. For your reference, you can find past catalogues here. 

I have to tell you, it was difficult to cut into this designer series paper. Fancy Flora DSP is gorgeous. I love the colours and there are many to choose from to coordinate with card stock for your projects. 

The front of the card holds an envelope with a message inside. I made the envelop from 6x6 dsp and the Envelope Punch Board. The finished envelope measures 4 1/4" x 3 1/4". The envelope is adhered shut with small velcro dots.

Lots of room to write your own sentiment.

The finished card measures 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" and fits into a regular A2 envelope.

Card and Box Envelope

 Hello,

Ever make a card with a few embellishments which will not fit into a regular envelope? Well, I've got an envelope box for you!

This box will fit a card with a good amount of height, about a quarter of an inch. 

I found the template here Envelope Box tutorial for dimensional cards. – Club Scrap. It's very easy to make and will fit a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card with 1/4" height. And bonus, when using Stampin' UP double sided designer series paper, the inside of the box is as pretty as the outside. 

I added a narrow strip of dsp so that the flap would close without gluing. Alternatively, a piece of tear and tape could be added prior to giving.

This layout is a great way to use up some scraps of designer series paper.

Reverse Easel Card

 Hello,

Today I have a cute fun fold called a reverse easel card.

The finished card measures 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 and fits into a regular envelope.

The base measures 4 1/4 x 11, scored at 5 1/2 and 2 3/4. The front layer measures 3 x 4 1/2.

The Adorable Owls stamp set is so much fun and can be used for almost any occasion.

I've been terribly remiss on posting. The holidays were busy. I did more entertaining than usual, visits with friends, shopping, etc. Now that the holidays are over and the Christmas decor is organized and packed away, I can get back to regular card making and posting my makes.
