Doodling and presto- a card was born

 Hello,

Sitting at my desk with no plan in mind on a card to make, I began doodling and colouring on the True Love Designer Series paper from Stampin' Up. All the designs on the sheets of paper are black and white, some floral and some geometric and stripes. I picked a floral and thought I'd practice on my colouring and shading with the Stampin' Blends markers. Before I knew it, a card was born. I fussy cut the flowers and adhered them to the card underneath the sentiment strip.

The Stampin' Blends used were Seaside Spray, Daffodil Delight and Poppy Parade.

Until next time.

Box Card

 Greetings.

The past couple of days I have been glued to CNN. Such terrible news in the US. I decided I needed a break and headed to my craft room. I am always scoping out new ideas on Pinterest or Instagram. Well, didn't I find the cutest card. Is it a box?....Is it a card?... Its' both!

Isn't it adorable? Perfect for a small gift....like a diamond ring? 😉 I found this card on Stamping Jill's blog.
I can see this card used for so many occasions...Christmas, Easter, Valentine's Day or Halloween to name a few.

For this card I used Stampin' Up Oh So Ombre Designer Series paper in Blackberry Bliss with the Dragonfly Garden stamp and punch and the Soft Spring stamps. The card was so easy to make. Check out Jill's blog for instructions.

Until next time.

Bouquet

 Hello,

I am straying away, just a bit, from Stampin' Up to bring you this card.

While the paper and sentiment die cut are from Stampin' UP the floral inlay is called Bouquet from Tim Holtz.

Enjoy your day. Until next time.

Dragonfly Garden

 Hello and Happy New Year!

Aren't dragonflies amazing? They are quick as they zip through a garden, hovering like a helicopter. I once got in the path of a dragonfly, ouch, got hit right in the middle of my forehead.

Today's card uses the Dragonfly Garden bundle with the Dandy Garden designer series paper for a stand up card. I CASEd this card from Stamp Crazy with Alison, you can visit her blog here for instructions to make this card.

This card measures 4 1/4 x 5 1/4 and lays flat in order to fit into an envelope.

I have adhered a 4 x 5 1/4 piece of Whisper White on the backside in order to include a greeting. Here are the measurements for the card.

  • Misty Moonlight (card base): 4 ¼” x 10 ½” scored at ½”, 1 ¾”, 3 ¾”, 5”
  • Misty Moonlight(mat): 3” x 5” scored at ½”, 3 ¾”
  • Whisper White (stamped): 2 ¾” 3 ¾”
  • Bumblebee (words): 1 ½” x 2 ¾”
  • Whisper White (dragonfly): 2 ½” x 2 ½”
  • Whisper White (back): 4” x 5 ¼”
  • Dandy Garden Designer Series Paper (top piece): 4” x 4”
  • Dandy Garden Designer Series Paper (bottom piece): 1 ¾” x 4”

Until next time.
