Driving By Birthday Card

 Hello,

Brrrr, it is absolutely frigid outside. A good day to craft.

Today's card is a fun fold, easy to make. The card measures 5 1/2" x 4 1/4". Start with a piece of card stock measuring 8 1/2" x 5 1/5" and score at 4 1/4" and 2 1/8". From the middle score line, cut diagonally down to about 2" from the bottom. There's your fun fold. 

This card is great for any occasion. Add DSP, embellishments and images or keep it simple.

The important thing is to have FUN with it.

Twisted Fun Fold Gate Card

We are getting hit with another snowfall today. More snow means more crafting. 

Here's a fun fold from Tami White. You can check out her blog here for the tutorial. 

I paired the Sunshine and Rainbows DSP with the adorable Awesome Otters stamp set. 

These cute little faces never fail to bring a smile to my face.

I think anyone would be happy to receive a card with these critters on it.

Fun Fold Pocket Card

 Hello,

Here’s an easy fun fold for any occasion. The idea comes from The Paper Pixie.

The insert slides out for a personal note.

Measurements:

Base (in this case Basic Black): 4 1/4" x 11" scored at 5 1/2" and 9 3/4"- fold and burnish score lines ensuring the smallest section is folded in front to form a flap. Round the corners of each end of the base. 

DSP (in this case Abstract Beauty) : 3" x 4" and 1" x 4"- adhere to the front of the base and flap.

Place a small bead of glue on either side of the inside of the base. Fold closed. 

Insert base (in this case Garden Green): 3 1/2" x 5"

Insert layer (Basic White): 3 1/4" x 4 3/4"- adhere to the insert base, 

Decorate/embellish as desired. For this card I used the Cactus Cuties stamp set.

Honey Bee

 Hello,

We have a blizzard warning in our area today. So SNOW DAY! Best to stay indoors and craft. Its days like this that make me long for spring. 

Today's card inks up a favourite, Honey Bee. Not only is there a stamp set but dies too! 

Do you have older stamp sets you haven't used in a while. Break them out and give them life with new DSP or a new technique you've learned.

Awesome Otters Valentine’s Day Card

Hello,

Today's card is a real cutie. The stamp is from the Awesome Otters set containing 3 of the cutest otter images ever. I love the look on the otter's face...utterly in love.

For this card I used the Layering Diorama Dies to frame the stamped image. If the focus of the card is an image, consider using dies to frame your art to give the card interest. 

The new Gentle Waves stamp was used to give some texture to the front of the card.

Plentiful Plants Fun Fold

 Hello,

I love fun folds. They add such interest to a card. This double box fun fold lies flat for mailing. The idea for this card came from Flutterby Heidi. 

The card can be made with a regular card, 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4" or just a single piece of card stock measuring 5 1/2" x 4 1/4". If using a single piece of card stock, adhere a  5 1/4"x 4" piece of white card stock on the back for a personal message.

Measurements:

For the horizontal "box": card stock measuring 3 3/4" x 6" scored at 1/2", 1 3/4", 3 1/4" and 4 1/2"

For the vertical "box": card stock measuring 1 3/4" x 5 1/2", scored at 2 7/8" and 4 1/8"

Daffodil Daydream Fun Fold Gift Card

 Hello,

Today's card is a fun fold gift card holder using the Daffodil Daydream bundle. This is a easy fun fold especially if you need to make multiples. Dress it up or make it simple.

The gift card slides perfectly in the pocket created when the ends of the fold are adhered together.

Measurements:

Basic Black card stock: 5.5" x 4.25"

Thick Basic White card stock: 5" x 7.75", scored at 2.25" and 6".

DSP: 1.5" x 4.75"
