Tri fold fun fold

 Hello,

I’ve got an easy fun fold for today.

To make this fun fold, I cut out 4 arched die cut panels.

Three of the die cuts can be any colour but one has to be white card stock in order to stamp a sentiment.

Next cut your dsp. Again,it can be any dsp. You’ll need 2 pieces.

To connect the pieces together cut from copy paper, 2 pieces measuring 3” x2”.

To assemble, adhere the copy paper pieces to the wrong side of the arched cuts. The copy paper pieces act like a hinge to bend the card accordion style.

Then adhere the dsp and white panel to the arched cuts hiding the copy paper pieces.

There you have it.

Pierced Blooms

 Hello,

Amidst a foot of snow which fell yesterday, we need some Spring flowers.

Pierced Blooms by Stampin’Up has been one of my favourite die sets.

They are layered dies which are very versatile. They can be used with just about any kind of paper, of any colour.
These dies are retired but can possibly be found in the wild.

More Toadstools Fun Fold

 Hello,

I haven’t been feeling very creative lately. Even surfing Pinterest, looking in old catalogues or revisiting some of the cards I’ve made in the past haven’t  got the creative juices flowing. This is the 5th card I’ve made that I actually finished. It’s a fun fold.

It is bright and cheerful, sure to brighten anyone’s day.

The ‘belly band’ slides off to reveal the sentiment inside.

Thanks for stopping by. Until next time…

More Toadstools

 Hello,

It’s a blustery day out there so what better way to spend the day than crafting.

I am in love with the Terrific Toadstools stamp set. Pair it with the colourful dsp and you have a happy card.

Today’s  card is a new fun fold…well, new for me anyway. I saw it done by Sue Campfield.

Who would love getting happy mail like this?

Here’s what you’re going to need…..

Choose your card stock and adhere the 4 x1-1/8 pieces to either end of the base measuring 4-1/4 x5-1/2. If you want to emboss or add dsp to these strips, do it before adhering to the base. Score the other 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 piece at 2-1/5 x 4-1/8, this is your z fold to pop up the front panel.  Next, add the 2-1/2 x 4 pieces to the right side of the z fold piece. This will be the inside of your card.  If you want to stamp and image or sentiment, do this before adding to the z fold piece (ask me how I know this). Then centre the z fold piece to the base and adhere.

Lastly, add the 4-1/4 x 4-1/4 piece by centering  it on the z fold piece. When adhering be sure to only add glue to the far left of the scored piece. If desired add dsp to the 4x 4 panel and any embellishments/sentiments/images.

Have fun with it. Thanks for stopping by. Until next time….

Masculine Birthday Card

I’m baaack! I’ve been recovering from knee replacement surgery. It’s slow going but I’m in the mend. The pain has been quite intense and I haven’t really been in the mood to make a card. Until today!

I dug back into my stash to use Latte Love for a masculine birthday card. I saw this layout on Pinterest and cased it.

We’ll see how it goes, I may be back in my craft room again soon.

Thanks for stopping by. Until next time.
