Diagonal Fun Fold

 Hello,

Today's card is a diagonal fun fold and one of the easiest fun folds to make.

Take a full sheet of 8-1/2 x 11 card stock of your choice. Cut it on the diagonal from one corner to the opposite corner. Two cards can be made from one sheet of card stock. Now score one piece at 3" and 6-3/4". Fold and burnish like an accordian. There's your card. You can decorate as desired.

For my card I used the Country Woods dsp and Country Flowers  stamp set and dies.

Lots of room for a personal sentiment inside.

The Stampin' UP blends used were Petal Pink, Pool Party and Misty Moonlight. Plus Copper Clay and Crumb Cake for the bucket to creat a rustic look.

Thanks for stopping by. Until next time....

Birthday Card

 Hello,

Still nursing my knee. Pain takes the joy out of everything. I haven’t felt much like crafting. Today wasn’t so bad, so I made a couple of cards for my son’s birthday next week. He’ll be 50 years old. Where does the time go?😲 I can remember the day he was born like it was yesterday.

These are the cards I made:

First, he loves to read so I thought this stamp set would be perfect.

Next, he loves coffee. Another perfect stamp set for his card.

I think he'll like both of them.

Thanks for stopping by. Until next time….

Magnolia Mood

 Hello,

I'm still saddled with a dodgy knee so not much activity going on here. I managed to make another card today from the Magnolia Mood bundle.

Has this ever happened to you? After deciding on the design, the finished product is far from the origninal idea, especially when CASE'ing another's card? This is one of those cards.

After stamping the image and picking out the dsp, I decided the card was going to be monotone in Crumb Cake. The finished image however looked to bland so I added a touch of Petal Pink and Soft Seafoam.

What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by. Until next time....

Mother’s Day

 Hello, and Happy Mother’s Day!

I made this card with my mom in mind. She is no longer with me and I miss her all the time. I have many happy and funny memories of her. After my mom retired we spent time shopping, lunching and going to the theatre. One particular funny story was of one of her birthdays, her 75th. I often think as we age we become more child like. That gave me an idea to have a children’s themed birthday party. We had lots of games including a piñata. I blindfolded my mom, armed her with a stick and let her have at the piñata. We were all laughing so hard, including my mom which made it harder for her to hit her target🤣🤣🤣. It was great fun and my mom was a good sport.

So…for you mom.

Florals

 Hello,

It’s been a while. I’ve been sidelined with a knee injury, making it hard to sit or stand for any length of time but I am on the mend.

Most of my stamp sets are florals because I love flowers. Plus, I feel most comfortable making cards with these kinds of stamps. They always seem to turn out relatively nice.

Here are a couple of cards I managed to whip up over the past 2 days.

The first one uses Forever Greenery dsp with the Country Flowers stamp set. I think this one would make a nice get well card.

Another card with the Country Flowers stamp set and Pansy Petals dsp. Bright and cheerful.

What is your favourite stamp set? Do you gravitate to certain images?

Thanks for stopping by. Until next time….
